The Crypt – Where the Dead Refuse to Rest
Beneath the crumbling ruins of Castle Bennett lies a place older than the castle itself — The Crypt. Carved into the earth centuries ago by a long-forgotten death cult, it was meant to be a sacred resting place for the Bennett bloodline. Instead, it became a prison for the damned.
Legend tells of the Bennett Necromancer, a shadowy figure who defied the natural order, binding the souls of the dead to their decaying bodies. This unholy magic seeped into the walls and soil, cursing the very ground. The dead buried here do not sleep — they watch, they whisper, and they hunger.
Over the years, countless war dead, plague victims, and traitors were thrown into The Crypt, their bodies piled upon the ancient tombs. Now, the air is thick with the stench of centuries-old rot, and the silence is broken only by the sound of clawing from within the coffins.
Those foolish enough to enter will encounter:
Restless corpses desperate to escape their tombs
Bone collectors who use the remains of victims to rebuild themselves
The Warden of the Crypt, a towering skeletal sentinel bound to guard the cursed dead for eternity
The Eternal Hunger, a monstrous entity born from the souls of the long-imprisoned
The deeper you descend, the colder it gets… until the darkness feels alive. The Crypt is more than a burial chamber — it’s a gateway to the underworld, and once the dead have your scent, they will not stop until you join them.
